After a quick five hour drive, we made it to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Not much to report from the first day as the ladies enjoyed a spa day and the men played on the Nintendo Wii. It was the second time playing with a Wii and my shoulder is sore. After a rousing day of games and spa treatments the evening was spent at Goombays drinking their signature drink, the Goombay Smash. I won't be posting photos of the evening events just yet...but it was a blast.
This morning we decided a little adventure was needed so we took an off-rod excursion. We ventured out to the town of Corolla and signed-up for the wild horses beach tour. The tour was overbooked so we had to drive one of the operations Jeep Wranglers. This was way too much fun. Take a look at the “Pictures from our travels...”section on the right. We saw some beautiful wild horses and a three day old pony feeding on the sea grass. Fun stuff!!!
